Ricardo Soares, Al Ahly’s football first team head coach, spoke following the team’s goalless draw against Eastern Company SC in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.

Here is what Soares had to say about the game: 

“Of course, I’m not happy because we did not win the game. However, we are moving in the right direction and we need to continue working in the same way.

Our players played a good game. I believe the result is unfair. We did everything we can to win the game. 

We were not clinical in front of the goal and that’s why we were unable to win the game. 

Our youngsters need to feel confident. Mido Nabil played well tonight in his first game with Al Ahly in the senior team. Ziad. Ghareb, and Ashraf all played well tonight.”
